You may be surprised to find out how any black & white printer can become a barcode printer. All you need are some barcode labels and barcode software to print them. It is best to use a laser printer for this type of print because it needs barcode print accuracy for the barcode scanners to read correctly. A good website for these “gadgets” is: barcodediscount.com.
However, it does require some technical knowledge as well. Also, it is not suitable for large barcode printing jobs. If you do not want the trouble with setting up and testing barcodes, I would suggest getting a standalone, dedicated barcode printer.
The main three categories of barcode printers are:
1) Small Office/SOHO barcode printers
2) Large Batch Printing Barcode Printers
3) Portable Barcode Printers
