Atila Popularity isn’t everything

I remember the first time I heard the name YouTube. At the time, YouTube wasn’t nearly the giant it is today. It is currently the fourth most visited website according to Alexa.com. People upload homemade videos and their favorite movies,…

Create a Community with vBulletin

vBulletin is a community forum software that lets your visitors interact, take part in discussions, ask questions, give answers, and express opinions, giving you an instant community. Unlike a blog, a community forum is more of a discussion board where members and forum moderators interact by posting questions and answers and discussing common problems.

A forum encourages your visitors to return again and again by allowing interaction and information sharing.VBulletin is community-forum software that gives you the ability to create a community that lets your visitors interact, take part in discussions, ask questions, give answers, and express opinions. Unlike a blog, a community forum is more of a discussion board where members and forum moderators interact by posting questions and answers and discussing common problems.

A forum encourages your visitors to return again and again by allowing interaction and information sharing. vBulletin is powerful, scalable, and fully customizable forum software. vBulletin is easy to install, user friendly, and easy for new members to learn to use. vBulletin has been written using the Web’s quickest-growing scripting language, PHP, and is complemented with a highly efficient and ultrafast back-end database engine built using MySQL.

One of the clear benefits of vBulletin is that the software is search-engine friendly. Moreover, controlling the meta tags for each page of your forum is done through the easy-to-use vBulletin admin panel. Within the vBulletin admin panel you can set up your meta keywords and meta descriptions, among other things.

vBulletin allows you to customize the look and feel of your forum. You can get free skins and different forum style sheets at www.vbulletin-faq.com/skins-styles.htm. Skins refer to preselected template designs that allow you to change the look and feel of your forum or Web site. You should make sure that your forum’s look and feel are consistent with the look and feel of your Web site. You should also set up the forum on the domain of your Web site, such as www.example.com/forum or forum.example.com.

By building a community on your Web site with vBulletin, you are making the case to Google and other search engines that your Web site is an information hub for the particular area of your business. Aside from creating content on a regular basis yourself, hosting a community forum or a blog is the best way for you to rank well in the search engines.

One of the steps that you should take to prevent search-engine spiders from visiting areas of your forums that are private is to create a robots.txt file. A private area of your Web site may be an area that is accessible only to paid members or an area where you have concerns about search engines indexing duplicate content. Here is an example of the code you can upload to your public_html directory to prevent private pages from being indexed:

   User-agent: *
   Disallow: /forums/memberlist.php

A complete list of code that you can upload to your public_html directory is located at www.vbulletin-faq. com/optimize-vbulletin-server.htm. If you use something other than /forums/ for your forums directory, adjust the paths accordingly.

  1. Do you want to make money online? Free mentoring, free scripts and more, seriously.
This was written by my partner, I’m not old enough to have been making money online for 10 years.

    ========

This is a real offer, We are looking for real responses.

I know people see crap like this all the time and many will blow it off without a second though. For those that are curious, let me tell you a few things.

I have made a living online for a decade. I’ve had ups and downs along the way but I’ve never needed a job to support myself. Because someone will eventually ask, no I don’t live with mom and yes I pay my own bills.

I’ve also met many friends and business associates from my time online. Together we have earned well into 7 figures from the internet and are still making good money today.

Unfortunately, I’ve also met thousands of webmasters who have struggled to make any money online. Some of them have really tried but simply could not find something that works for them. With all of the bulls*** information out there this is not hard to believe. Other “webmasters”, are just completely worthless. They refuse to do anything resembling work and cry about every little thing. You know the type, they are EVERYWHERE. If you are one of the latter please do not speak to me ever. I cannot stand the crybaby attitude and will not respond nicely.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let me tell you what I am offering.

If you are serious about making money online I want to speak with you. I don’t care if you are brand new to the net or if you’ve been struggling for years but just not getting anywhere.

While it is true that I am looking for webmasters who are willing to work this does not mean that I will ask you to slave away for 10 hours per day to earn a whopping $10 an hour. In fact, many of the things I will show you require very little work and can make you rich. Basically, I’m looking for people that want to grow their business, not make a few bucks so they can hang out at the mall all day. I am not interested in helping you if you will disappear in 3 months so please don’t waste our time.

If you are interested please send me an email to iwantanincome@gmail.com and tell me a little about yourself.

Please include what you’ve done so far, how much success you’ve had and anything you are experienced with such as programming, design, ebooks, customer support or anything else you can think of. Also include how much you are willing to work per week and if you have any money to invest.

This is not an interview, I only ask so I will better know what to discuss with you. I will respond to all that write regardless of your experience so there is no need to lie. I will also keep this information confidential so if you’ve made $5.00 in your lifetime just let me know.

No PM’s please. If you are interested in learning how to make money online you must email me at:

  2. Hello and good morning! Just wanted to come in and say hi. I’m Jerry. I enjoy cooking, volunteering, doing Paint Shop on the computer. I also like to listen to country, 70’s and 80’s music. Thanks for letting me join your group!

  3. I began this thread to evaluate public usable web proxies:

    Which are really anonymous?

Which can unblock facebook, myspace etc, in other words: are fresh ?

    Which would you recommend?

    Thanks for your help,
    Dschibut

P.S.: In my country, the freedom of speech is somehow constrained, please give me a hint, if you have doubts about your recommendation.

  4. Suicide. What is it with friends who feel the need to talk about suicide. They come to you on the internet and you talk to them for 2 hours, than they act like nothing happened. You confront them about it and they say they were just having a bad day. What do you do when you’ve heard this from the same person over and over? 5. I got rid of my cable connection recently and went “internet only.” I know about those places like Hulu and such where you can watch pre-recorded TV shows. But I’m looking for a service where you can watch actual TV channels live as a replacement for cable. You know, where you can flip through channels of the big broadcasters and see TV shows and sports games as they’re broadcasted.

    What do you guys think?
