This amazing post describes everything (and I mean, everything) you need to know about how to work with HD, DVD, PVR, AppleTV and other convergence devices in…New Zealand. OK, not many people there, and it’s a bit out of the mainstream, but the issues are the same for all of us.

What’s that - technical incompatibilities, especially with HD, complicated ways of getting things done. It’s the mantra we’ll be preaching on this site: Make it easy; make it quick, and people will knock down your doors to get it.

Joost in a settop box is a step in the right direction. Now, if only services like Joost are able to crack into the big time with their content. I mean, Australian cooking (lots of kangaroo steaks) isn’t quite “The Sopranos.”
