I love this ipod. It is tiny yet holds lots of music. Easy to wear, sound is good.

Great product. I had a nano previously, but pretty much only used it on shuffle. My only wish is for larger memory and the ability to use nike + iPod.
Item looks and sounds great, though I am worried since the controls are located on the earphones that they may get lost some day and I will not have full functionality on the device. still, for the price, this is a great item.

So far I've used my Shuffle for jogging, in the bus, and in the streets.
As many reviewers pointed out, the new Shuffle may not be the ideal solution for a work-out music player. I admit that. But WHO TOLD YOU SHUFFLE IS SWEATPROOF? Nobody.
Anyway, if you sweat a lot and are looking for a music player for your intensive workout sessions, iPod Shuffle may not be the most sweatproof solution. I've jogged two miles in the sun with the Shuffle clipped to my shorts pocket, and I sweat a lot - I had no problem with it myself and I think most people (even those who sweat more than others) wouldn't either if they are a little careful. For me, I sweat a lot when I'm cooling down after the run (more than when I'm running), so I usually put it back in my pocket after my run. The point is, if you're looking for a music player for your marathon, Shuffle isn't the solution.
Sound quality with the included headphones is decent. If you're the type that cares about audio quality when you're sitting at your home listening to music, use the Shuffle just for workout and outdoor use. Also, the earphones are probably more ideal than the $80 in-ear Apple earphones for workouts and general use. They stick well to your ears (I've sprinted with these, no problem), cable is just right length (shorter than normal earphones, just long enough to clip onto your pants and listen to music), and for workout you would sweat less with these earphones (in-ear would block your ears more).
Shuffle is meant to be stylish. No buttons may mean big compromise, but I find it a worthy exchange for the size (sexiness, cuteness, sleekness, whatever) of the music player.
I found the one-button controls to be straightforward and easy. The location of the button may be awkward for some, but I got used to it quite easily. The whole interface is really easy to get used to and fun once you start using it, and playlist is just great. From my experience, it's not a hassle at all.
I would say that Apple has done a good job of presenting a new style of listening to music. Nearly weightless and volumeless, minimal, take-it-anywhere. It literally defines minimalism.

If you are considering the stainless steel special edition, note that it feels significantly heavier and that it is much more prone to getting visible scratches. It's like a mirror.
